World Environment Day is an important international day for the environment, organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and held annually since 1973.
The Republic of Korea will host World Environment Day in 2025, focusing on ending plastic pollution worldwide, with goals on climate change, sustainable consumption and production, protecting the seas and oceans, restoring ecosystems, and preserving biodiversity.
